Professional Development for Education Professionals

Arts4All Florida conducts a variety of professional development workshops, webinars, and teleconferences.  Goals for the professional development workshops include increasing disability awareness, changing the perception of people with disabilities, and increasing knowledge about inclusion strategies.

Workshops include:

(1.5-4 hours)
  • Inclusive Practices in the Arts- This five-hour training presents information on developing lessons using Universal Design for Learning guidelines and differentiated instruction that is specific to the arts, incorporating accommodations, and assessing the performance of students with disabilities in the arts, and provides opportunities for arts educators to make and take adapted art tools back to their classrooms.  This session is appropriate for teaching artists, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals.  (5 hours)
  • Start with the Arts- This workshop teaches participants how to implement the Start with the Arts curriculum resource guide that links the arts and pre-literacy skills using age appropriate lessons for early childhood learners.
